about

"Silence V" (2001) harmoniously aligns with the rest of the series. It neither surpasses nor falls short of its predecessors, serving as a satisfying sequel that should delight anyone who enjoyed the earlier releases. The most noticeable departures from the established concept of previous "Silence" installments are the inclusion of soprano vocals by Jenny Gibbert, known for her appearances on "Virtual Vices II" and "The Fires of Ork II," and the introduction of a guitar in the latter portion of the final track. While it doesn't introduce groundbreaking innovations, it offers a sublime and nostalgic sound characterized by a deep sense of longing, presenting a timeless classic. An essential release, for real.

A timeless release series that proves that less really is more. ... more
